Reflections for 2013

Thsi year I have consolidated my knowledge of ways to use ICT in the classroom and I have become more confident in doing so.  I have used the flip video and inserted photos and videos onto my class blog.  I have also used easy speakand use the interactive white board every day in the class room .  Parents and children have shown more interest in our class blog.  Have 3 more computers in the classroom has enabled more children to use the computers and I have explored more educational web sites for them to use.
On a personal note buying my own i Pad and using regularly at home has been amazing and I am learing new things everyday.

Restorative Practices

Things I really liked about the Restorative Practice Workshop

• considering the victim
• getting the wrong doer to consider what they were thinking
• considering who was affected
• considering how they can make things right

Things that made people a litle uncomfortable during the workshop were asking people to share situations:

•  when they felt shame 
• when they had been scared

I thought this was very amateur psychology as there were people in the room who had experienced real truama in their lives and felt very uncomfortable

E Learning goals for Term 2

My E-Learnng Goals for Term 2
This term I want to continue to develop my skills when using the interactive white board.
I also want to further develop my class blog.
I want to teach my new entrant children how to turn on, log on and log off the computer.
I want to learn more about ways to use my tablet at home.

Using my new tablet

I have bought a little tablet and are having fun as I learn to use it.  I can't use it at school as it won't connect to our schools wireless connection.  I was hoping to see if it could be useful in the classroom.  It should be great travelling overseas for checking emails etc.

2012 Learning at schools

 What an amazing way to start the year.  I felt so fortunate to be able to be able to attend the Learning at Schools Conference.  3 of the breaskout sessions I went to were full of information and ideas. The fourth breakout session was not of so much benefit as it was about ways to set up your classroom blog. Marion and I felt like the experts in a room full of other teachers!!!! I have downloaded information full of free learning games and activities for young children.  Please talk to me if you are interested.
